A Message from Dr. Garcia to All Students

Welcome to the Nova Middle School website!

Welcome to Nova Middle School for the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year. I am excited about this coming year and the opportunity to once again be surrounded by the best staff in the District as evidenced by our record of seven consecutive years of an "A" grade by the State of Florida.

The theme for 2008-2009 will be "What to do when we don't know what to do." We will strive to ensure that all of our stakeholders become involved in all aspects of the educational process, as involvement generates a sense of accomplishment of a job well done. We will continue to promote our motto "We are Nova...we are intelligent, sophisticated, and hold very high expectations of ourselves."

“The only lifelong, reliable motivations are those that come from within, and one of the
strongest of those is the joy and pride that grow from knowing that you've
just done something as well as you can do it.”
Lloyd Dobyns and Clare Crawford-Mason, Thinking About Quality

The Nova Middle School Parent Teacher Association (PTSA) will be selling spirit shirts and spirit T-shirts from 9:00 until 9:30 am in the PTSA room during the week. Please join the PTSA this year to show your support of all they do for our students. Remember, as part of our Unified Dress Code, students must wear a spirit shirt/t-shirt on all field trips. Spirit T-shirts may be worn to school on Fridays, and spirit collared shirts may be worn to school any day of the week.

The entire faculty and staff of Nova Middle are committed to providing your child the best educational opportunities and experiences as possible. If you should have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child's guidance counselor:
